Each Eucharist is a memory of the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus and the source of our hope. Our world urgently needs witnesses to the Lord's resurrection and true prophets of hope. Our Nation needs it.
Baptism marks the beginning of our journey towards holiness for the transformation of the world. Walking in a new life means committing to making "a new humanity."
For Blessed Concepcion Cabrera, and us, who live the Spirituality of the Cross, the Christ who has captivated us is the Crucified Christ; Christ the Priest and Victim, immolated on the Cross. The Eucharist perpetuates until the end of time this sacrifice for the glory of the Father and the world's salvation.
The Eucharistic devotion in our Spirituality is not something accidental. It is, instead, the very "center" of our life. The supreme form of our love and dedication to the Crucified is the Eucharist and Eucharistic Adoration as an extension of it. These are not purely a symbol but also the efficacious memorial that renders the Crucified Himself present to his pilgrim militant Church.
Christ, ever-present before the Father for eternity, is the same Jesus who once traveled along the roads of Samaria, Judea, and Galilee. He is the same Christ born of the Virgin Mary, the Lord of history. Hidden under the Host's appearances, we celebrate before the highest divine reality, the authentic presence of the Eternal Incarnate Word, binding together earth and heaven, the cosmos, and the Trinity. Aware of this Presence, Blessed Concepcion Cabrera lived even in her home, quite close to her Christ, her Savior, her God, and her Supreme Love.
From our participation in the Eucharist, those of us who live the Spirituality of the Cross find the passion for serving others, actively building a more solidary society, and protecting the poor, the vulnerable, the unborn, and to work for justice.
